About
Welcome to my blog!
I’m Olivier de Broqueville, an IT professional in his early fourties with a keen interest in new technologies and how they help improve or influence our daily lives. I live in Geneva, Switzerland, a place renown for it’s banks, cheese, chocolate, penknives, ski resorts and home to numerous international organisations such as the United Nations and the World Trade Organisation among others.
During my spare time, I enjoy surfing the web to discover new technologies, software and ideas. I decided to blog about my discoveries to share them with my family and friends, but also the larger public which might share the same interests. It also helps me keep track of the cool things I discover here and there, now and then, and organise them in a more appealing way rather than just bookmark items. I would also like to encourage visitors to post their comments and share their own discoveries with the world wide web community.
Although this blog will essentially focus on new technologies, occasionally I will almost certainly be tempted to blog about other subjects that are of special interest to me or merely entertaining: these may include local events taking place in my neighbourhood, science, politics, religion or the environment. Although the scope will be broad, the majority of posts will concern new technologies and more specifically software for the Mac and PC as well as the iPhone because I happen to own one!
I hope you will enjoy reading my blog and that your findings will entail you to read more.
Happy reading!
Olivier
